Why Choose Us?
Proper Preparation & Top Quality Materials Pay for Themselves
At Ville Painters, we take more time than the average professional painter to properly prepare every surface for paint. Plus, we only use top-quality materials. The result is a paint job that provides superior protection, longevity, and value for your money.
Maintenance Painting
The paint on each side of your home ages differently depending on how much sun it gets and a variety of other environmental conditions. We can keep your home looking great and provide extra protection for trouble spots by only painting the areas that need it most. Maintenance painting is affordable, often costing pennies on the dollar when compared with a whole house paint job.
The Right Experience & Equipment
Our experienced painting crews have all the right equipment to access every area of your home safely and efficiently. We're fully insured and run regular safety meetings and inspections for your peace of mind.

As a certified Modern Master Artisan for 12 years, Heath enjoys the artistic aspects of his job – helping customers with color choices, decorative finishes and signage, and other special projects. And, his education degree from Millersville University and exceptional painting skills make him the perfect choice to train our team about the latest techniques and materials.

Christy Dietrich

In February 2024, she began helping at the office and found it to be a good fit for this season in life. While she continues part-time nursing work for Hospice & Community Care, you will find her most days in our front office, using her strong administrative skills to support our customers, the president, and the rest of Ville’s team.
Fun fact: Christy enjoys entertaining, cooking and spending time in the Poconos.
Our History
The Ville Painters story began in 1984 when owner Steve Dietrich picked up a paint brush as a summer job. Steve, a Hempfield grad, returned to Susquehanna University to finish his business degree then found a position developing technology solutions for large NYC-area general contractors.
In 1988, Steve returned to Lancaster and combined his painting experience, solid background in construction accounting/management, and superior customer service skills to start Ville Painters in Millersville (hence the name “Ville Painters”). A few years later, the growing company added office and field staff and relocated to Lancaster city. In 2020, Ville Painters expanded again, moving its operation to a larger facility with a state-of-the-art spray booth in East Hempfield Township to better serve its customers.
Since he founded the company, building and maintaining strong relationships has always been a large part of Steve's personal, and professional success. One of his primary aims has been to select and develop quality employees who are as interested in serving their community as they are in the painting craft and in excellent customer service.
Community service has been another Ville Painters hallmark since its inception. Steve has served in leadership positions for many nonprofit, civic and professional organizations during his career ranging from Rotary Club of Lancaster, Historic Preservation Trust of Lancaster County, and a High Center Executive Peer Group. The company has a long tradition of corporate giving, supporting many area nonprofits. Recent beneficiaries include the Fulton Theatre, Lancaster Rec, Mental Health America, LancasterHistory, and CASA of Lancaster and Lebanon Counties.
